The CH50 rugged industrial camera housing provides increased protection for small industrial cameras (27x27, 29x29, 30x30, 31x31, 40x30mm, ....) not only against mechanical damage, but also against dirt, grease, dust, water or overheating. Special designs and seals provide IP69 resistance against pressurized water. This ensures your visual system´s longevitity and reliability.
Thanks to it´s quiding rods, the CH50 enclosure is quick and simple to use. Even when replacing the lens or camera, there is no need to remove the housing at the installation site. See for yourself, it can be done even with just one hand.
IP69 (IP69K)
Our enclosure CH50 has been certified to IP66 from the beginning, ie especially for industrial environments where pressurized water is present.
Due to the increasing demand for installation in food operations, the CH50 enclosure has now passed IP69 certification without any design changes.
The test for IP69 certification according to EN 60529 is the same as the test for IP69K certification according to ISO 20653.
Passive cooling as secondary camera protection
The CH50 enclosure features a spacer system for mounting the camera, which ensures heat transition from the camera to the enclosure´s body. The camera temperature is therefore significantly reduced only by passive cooling of the CH50 enclosure. It can be seen from the temperature profile that the CH50 enclosure maintains a lower camera temperature. There is a significant effect on the lens, when without the use of an enclosure, practically all the heat of the camera is transferred to the lens, but when heat is removed by the enclosure, the lens still remains a bit cooler.
Wide compatibility
The CH50 cover is a universal solution for small industrial cameras. It is designed primarily for standard 29x29 mm cameras, but can also accommodate wider cameras (up to 40 mm). With small customizations, it can also accommodate taller (30-31 mm) or wider (up to 44 mm) cameras. For cameras shorter than 28 mm, we will modify the mounting plates so that they can also be securely and reliably mounted in the cover.

Standard mounting plates offer the option of attaching the camera using 2x M2 (12 mm) or 2x M3 (20–26 mm) threads. If your chosen camera requires a different type of mounting, we will be happy to prepare it for you.
Depending on the selected camera type and connectors, it may also be appropriate to choose a non-standard length. It is no problem to prepare a longer or shorter cover. The standard length is 150 mm, where the front part is 50 mm and the rear part is 100 mm. Depending on the size of the camera you are using, there may not be enough space in the enclosure for the connector, and the lens used may also require more space. The picture shows a comparison of a housing of an atypical length of 180 mm (80 + 100) compared to a standard length.
To ensure compatibility between the selected optical system and the cover, please specify the selected camera and lens when ordering, we will check it for you.
